znamej ze svedska chytil koronu, tak se ptal jak to vypada v nemocnici, pty tady vsichni trpi iluzi, jak ma svedsko funkcni socialni stat a peci.. napsal mi tohle:
A hospital? No, I live in Sweden – unless you need surgery or similar you are far better off staying at home. To give you an example of what lies in store. Just four weeks ago, before corona, the biggest hospital in Stockholm went into crisis mode. No beds left. People are placed in the cafeteria (!), staff shortage due to cutbacks. One of the chief doctors was saying in an interview that dying people are passing screaming in pain, because no one has had time to give them painkillers. People who’ve paid taxes their entire life, expecting to being take care of in their twilight moments. If it sounds like I’m exaggerating (people often don’t believe me when I describe the situation here), I can happily provide links once I can think again. There are also fights in emergency wards almost daily now, partly because of long waiting times (24 hours usually) and partly because rival gang members who’ve shot each other meet there. My father’s neighbour broke his leg – he was sent home with strong painkillers, they couldn’t treat him for an entire week. Imagine if we get an Italian-size outbreak.
